The scowling 14 year old with the grape popsicle was once Zach Trenholm. Not even slightly taller, he's now a San Francisco-based illustrator specializing in caricature. From Time to the Los Angeles Times, his award winning work has been seen in many, if not most, U.S. publications....
Zach's Ford & Carter drawings (from the same period as the photo) are actually not his earliest attempts at caricature --- just the oldest & oddest examples he now manages to possess thanks to Grandma.
As for the more tightly focused renditions, they ran a few years ago as part of a U.S. News & World Report story on living presidents....
