I was born in New Bedford Mass. at a very young age. I studied painting at the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts for an inadequate 2 years because I promptly fell in love with a little blue-eyed blonde who knew all the illustrators in Westport, Ct....so....off I went to marry her and become an illustrator of the cartoon persuasion starting my career as an instructor at the Famous Artists Schools (a correspondance art school) and moonlighting for my boss as an assistant on the Popeye comic-strip.

In 1960, I got a Playboy job on a fluke and worked for them for the next 15 years. I have been a free-lance for 48 years and have worked mainly for the newspapers and magazines and a bit in the book world. I have taught in many art schools. In the late 60's and 70s, I did quite a bit of animation design, winning a Cannes TV Award in the late 60s for a John Hancock commercial that was so weird that they never aired it.

I designed the logo for "2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY",the titles for "THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING",the TV "signature" for Burlington.....and made films for Life,Xerox,Olivetti,Singer and many others.

I'm still married to the cute little blonde who is still little and cute but is now greyish blonde. I now live on my own little horse farm and begin each day by mucking horse manure.
