Baseman is creator and executive producer of the critically acclaimed animated television show for ABC/Disney "Teacher's Pet. Teacher's Pet recently won both the Emmy award for Best Daytime Animated series and a British Emmy (BAFTA) for best International Childern's Programing. His artwork continues to muck up the pages of most major publications. Mr. Baseman best describes his work where the line between genius and stupidity has been smudged beyond recognition. His mark appears in magazines & newspapers such as The New Yorker, Time, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Forbes, Blab, Reader's Digest, and The Atlantic Monthly. Even the corporate world has been smeared by Basemans drawings. The range of international corporate clients include Nike, Chili's, Gatorade, Celebrity Cruises, Mercedes-Benz, Labatt, Thomas Cook, IPIX and Capitol Records. Baseman's images also create the identity of the best selling game "Cranium," which also won Game of the Year at 2002 Toyfair. His work is in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery in D.C. and the Museum of Modern Art in Rome. He has also lectured at the School of Visual Arts in New York, the Royal College of Art in London, and Art Center in Los Angeles. Entertainment Weekly Magazine recently named Baseman as one of the Most 100 Creative People in Entertainment. He was born and is back in Hollywood, after doing a ten year stint in NYC. |
