Mike Bartalos spent his formative years absorbing Dr Seuss books and Mad magazine in New York City's northern suburbs. In the mid 1980's he attended Pratt Institute where he majored in printmaking and began creating pen-and-ink spots for the New York Times. His involvement in limited-edition letterpress editions encouraged his current illustration style. Proud to have been a guitarist for the legendary NYC band Choking Victim, Mike is well on his way to learning a fourth chord on his Stratocaster. |
